Personal Life Insurance & Protection

The right coverage
isn't the most coverage.
It's the right design.

Life insurance is not a commodity. The product matters less than the structure — who owns it, how it's funded, what it's meant to do, and whether it will actually do it when called upon.

"Most people buy life insurance transactionally — a product pushed at a rate they were quoted. A small number of people design it as part of a financial plan. Those two experiences produce very different outcomes."

At Entos Advisory, we don't quote and close. We assess your full financial picture — income, dependents, existing coverage, debts, goals, health, and estate situation — and then design a life insurance solution that actually fits. With access to 40+ carriers and no captive obligation to any of them, the only product we recommend is the one that serves you best.

Every product type.
The right one for your situation.

Term Life Insurance

Pure Protection. Maximum Coverage Per Dollar.

Term life provides a death benefit for a defined period at the lowest possible cost. It is the most efficient solution for income replacement during peak earning years, mortgage protection, and business loan coverage. When the objective is maximum coverage at minimum cost, term is the answer.

  • Level premium for the full term — no surprises
  • Convertibility options to permanent coverage without re-underwriting
  • Simplified issue available for qualifying applicants
  • Return-of-premium riders available on select carriers

Whole Life Insurance

Guaranteed Cash Value. Permanent Protection.

Whole life is the most conservative permanent product — guaranteed death benefit, guaranteed cash value growth, guaranteed premium. It builds equity predictably over time, participates in carrier dividends for participating policies, and serves as a foundation for legacy planning and estate strategies.

  • Cash value grows at a guaranteed rate — immune to market performance
  • Participating policies earn dividends that can purchase paid-up additions
  • Highly effective for locking in coverage before insurability changes
  • Ideal for estate planning held in an ILIT structure

Indexed Universal Life

Flexible Premiums. Index-Linked Growth. Tax-Free Income.

IUL offers flexibility with growth potential tied to a market index — but with no downside risk from negative index returns. When properly structured and funded, the cash value can serve as tax-free supplemental retirement income via policy loans. The vehicle of choice for high earners seeking tax diversification beyond qualified plan limits.

  • Floor of 0% on indexed crediting — gains are locked in annually
  • No RMDs, no income limits, no contribution ceiling
  • Income distributions via tax-advantaged policy loans
  • Living benefit riders available for chronic and critical illness

Guaranteed Universal Life

Permanent Coverage. Lower Cost Than Whole Life.

GUL provides a permanent, guaranteed death benefit at a cost between term and whole life. The most cost-efficient permanent solution when the primary objective is the death benefit itself — not cash value accumulation. Often used for estate and legacy purposes where guaranteed transfer, not accumulation, is the goal.

  • Guaranteed death benefit regardless of market or interest rate performance
  • Lower premium than whole life for the same face amount
  • Ideal when permanent coverage is needed without cash value emphasis
  • Survivorship versions available for estate planning couples

Young Family

Building income, building a family, building equity

  • High face-amount term to replace income during peak earning years
  • Permanent policy as a foundation asset for spouse or children
  • Coverage on a non-working spouse — real economic value, often underestimated
  • Convertibility built in to preserve insurability as income grows
Business Owner

Business obligations, partner exposure, personal wealth accumulation

  • Key person and buy-sell coverage at the business level
  • Personal life insurance sized independently of business coverage
  • IUL for supplemental retirement accumulation beyond qualified plan limits
  • Executive bonus plan to build a personal asset separate from the business
Peak Earner

High income, high tax exposure, wealth accumulation intent

  • IUL funded at or near the MEC limit for maximum accumulation
  • Review of existing coverage for adequacy and product efficiency
  • Premium financing for high-coverage needs without capital dislocation
  • Life insurance as a non-correlated asset alongside the investment portfolio
Pre-Retirement

Protecting accumulated wealth and preparing for transfer

  • Permanent coverage to fund estate equalization between heirs
  • Survivorship policy held in trust for estate tax efficiency
  • IRA maximization — convert taxable inheritance to a tax-free death benefit
  • Long-term care rider review — protect assets from care costs
Retirement

Legacy certainty and wealth transfer without erosion

  • GUL or survivorship policy for guaranteed, cost-efficient estate transfer
  • Charitable giving amplification via life insurance
  • Policy review — existing policies may be repositioned for better value
  • Life settlement evaluation for policies no longer serving their original purpose
Any Stage

Living benefits — when life changes before death

  • Chronic illness rider — access death benefit for long-term care needs
  • Critical illness rider — lump sum on a qualifying diagnosis
  • Terminal illness rider — accelerated benefit when prognosis is limited
  • Many policies include these at no additional premium — confirm yours does

Life insurance isn't
only for dying.

Modern life insurance products include benefits that activate during your lifetime — not at death. Living benefit riders allow policyholders to access a portion or all of their death benefit early if a qualifying health event occurs.

These riders are included in many products — often at no additional premium. Most policyholders don't know they have them. Most agents don't explain them. We make them a central part of every conversation, because the probability of needing them is substantially higher than the probability of dying young.

For clients with existing policies, we conduct a living benefits audit — reviewing what's in place and whether it would function as intended if a qualifying event occurred today.

I

Chronic Illness Accelerated Benefit

If you cannot perform two or more Activities of Daily Living or suffer severe cognitive impairment, this rider allows access to the death benefit — tax-advantaged — to cover care costs and preserve other assets.

II

Critical Illness Accelerated Benefit

A qualifying critical diagnosis — heart attack, stroke, cancer, kidney failure, major organ transplant, and others — triggers a lump-sum advance of the death benefit. Funds are unrestricted.

III

Terminal Illness Accelerated Benefit

If diagnosed with a terminal illness with a life expectancy typically of 12 to 24 months, this rider allows early access to the death benefit — providing resources precisely when they are needed most.

IV

Long-Term Care Rider

A monthly benefit — often 2–4% of the death benefit per month — for qualifying long-term care expenses, whether in-facility or in-home. An efficient alternative to standalone LTC insurance.

Your health history
doesn't have to define your rate.

Underwriting is not a commodity. Different carriers weigh the same health history very differently. A condition that earns a table rating at one carrier may earn standard rates at another. Carrier selection strategy is part of what we do.

Through our distribution relationships, we have access to impaired risk underwriting expertise and the ability to shop your case informally before you submit a formal application — protecting your MIB record and maximizing the likelihood of an optimal outcome.

We understand the full range of underwriting options: fully underwritten, accelerated, simplified issue, and guaranteed issue. The right path depends on your situation, your timeline, and your health history.

Informal carrier shopping

We can shop your medical profile informally before a formal application is submitted — protecting your record and maximizing your chances of a best-offer outcome.

Impaired risk expertise

Pre-existing conditions, tobacco history, weight, family history, foreign travel — we know which carriers treat each situation most favorably.

Accelerated underwriting

Many carriers now offer lab-free, exam-free underwriting for qualifying applicants — faster placement without sacrificing coverage quality.

Guaranteed and simplified issue

For clients with significant health impairments or immediate coverage needs, we have access to products that don't require full medical underwriting.

From conversation
to coverage.

I

Discovery & Needs Analysis

We start by understanding your full financial picture — income, dependents, existing coverage, debts, goals, health, and estate situation. We don't design without this.

II

Strategy Design

We identify the right product type, coverage amount, ownership structure, and carrier field — and explain exactly why each decision was made. No black boxes.

III

Carrier Selection & Application

We select the optimal carrier for your profile, manage the underwriting process, and keep you informed at every step — from application through policy delivery.

IV

Ongoing Policy Review

Life changes. Coverage should too. We conduct structured annual reviews and reach out proactively when a life event, tax law change, or new product warrants a conversation.

Coverage designed
for your actual life.
